Okay, last year I made it to the marketplace, but this will be my first scrapfest crop. I'm looking at all my stuff and am overwhelmed as to what to bring with me vs. what I'll buy . . .

What does everyone else have in their scrapfest bag?

Very Happy Hi Lore ... you might look at Lisa's note on the topic "Crop Questions" which provides some info. I'm going with a friend and we are sharing stuff like ink, tools ... not duplicating what we're bringing. I always pack a few page kits I have on hand to get warmed up with. I put together a few pages I want to work on by selecting paper, pictures, embellishments and put them together in a pouch (maybe 3 or 4 of them). If you are doing a class (I am) I put together a scrap tote with the basic tools to be able to pick that up and go to class ... I always bring too much! Then there's the shopping!! I bring an extra recyclable grocery shopping bag to gather all my stuff in. Hope this helps.
I remember my first crop two years ago ... it was amazing ... you will have so much fun! Enjoy!! Very Happy
Ann

I haven't packed mine yet... but let's see...
I start with a list. (so I don't forget things, and I can keep adding to it). I begin with things like fave cutting tools. ie scissors, punches, ruler, xacto knife, pens, trimmer, stapler, staples self healing mat, pop dots, foam tape, xyron tools, etc. (all the basics) THEN...

I pack packages of pictures.... with whatever I may want to use with them, in a large baggy. I *try* and pack up some pre-thought pages. That way, I'm ahead of the game.

Then I organize by *type* of product. For example... set together all inks I want to bring. All Stamps I may want to bring. All copics, coloured pencils, sharpeners, brushes, various coloured pens (black and white essentials). baggy of stickles. sprays. Then I have containers that hold my fave embies. Then... letters/alphabets. rub-ons. etc. Then for my page kits? Large baggy with pics, c/s, papers I may want to use. I place whatever journaling things I'll use. flowers? leaves? whatever. It goes in there. Sometimes I'll draw a sketch and precut the paper, or whatever.

First... before any of that... I decide WHAT I'll carry my stuff in. lol I don't have the fancy bags that many have.
I'm sure others will have great ideas.

Hey... type in "What to bring to a scrapbooking crop" in google. And you'll get everything you could possibly need!

Wow to Goggle is a great idea. For me , my buddy and I are sharing our stuff. But because we are spending 3 nights away, we've decided to bring half to the show and leave half to play with in our room. that being said, the kits are a great idea, and the tools that you yourself use the most at home will still be the ones you go to. At the marketplace you will learn new tech. at the make n takes and want to test them out again on your own and that's where maybe the new products might come in. The goodie bag you will recieve when you get to the crop will have amazing surprizes in it to inspire you. Either way you will likly bring more then you need ( we all do) but my thought is , if you forgot it , you can find it in the marketplace. you'll have sooo much fun , the excitment is in the air.

see you there Dawn
